Summary

A three-metre, six-axis arm on a compact tracked base is the signature of the EXPERT, the medium EOD robot from Łukasiewicz – PIAP in Warsaw. Weighing almost 200 kg according to a 2017 PIAP article, it is designed for work inside cars, buses and cramped rooms where the larger PIAP IBIS cannot fit or reach: the manipulator lifts 15 kg at the end of its reach and is guided by on-board cameras over a radio link.

The robot made news in June 2017 when Polish police used it to deal with a bomb in Warlubie. Beyond the Polish Police, PIAP delivered EXPERT robots to West Africa in 2017, and the trade portal Automatyka Online lists services in France and Israel among users. The system is unarmed, has no armed variants and is on sale with pricing on request.

PIAP has not published an official datasheet, so speed, endurance and dimensions remain open. Compared with the American Centaur – about 73 kg with a 1.9 m arm – the EXPERT is heavier but offers far longer reach, the usual trade-off for vehicle-search robots. The lighter PIAP GRYF completes PIAP's EOD line below it.
