Summary

Delivered to the Italian government in 2021 and earlier to the armies of South Korea and Indonesia as well as to Lebanon, France and Finland, the GRYF is the export workhorse of Łukasiewicz – PIAP; at home it serves with the Polish Border Guard.

The light EOD and reconnaissance robot derives from the PIAP Scout platform and weighs about 48 kg according to press coverage of the Border Guard delivery – no official datasheet is published. Its hybrid running gear combines tracks with removable wheels, so it climbs stairs and slopes of up to 45 degrees and rolls at up to 10 km/h on flat ground.

A manipulator with five to six degrees of freedom lifts 15 kg, enough to move suspicious objects or position a disruptor. Driving cameras with infrared illumination, a gripper camera and a camera with 33x optical zoom provide the picture; control is by radio. The robot is on sale, priced on request, and has no armed variants.

In PIAP's range it sits between the throwable PIAP TRM 2.0 and the 200 kg PIAP EXPERT; its closest international rival is the 26 kg PackBot 525, which lifts only 20 kg close to the chassis.
