Summary

A 300 kg six-wheeler lifting 50 kg at the end of a three-metre telescopic arm: the IBIS is the largest EOD robot built by Łukasiewicz – PIAP in Warsaw and the one most often seen with Polish services. Six individually driven electric wheels move it at up to 10 km/h for roughly 4 h per charge.

The operator works from a radio control panel showing four camera feeds, including a night-vision camera, with an optional fibre-optic link; explosive-vapour detectors, a disruptor, a water cannon, CBRN sampling gear and a stretcher variant shown in 2024 complete the kit, and Defence24 reports gripper loads of up to 70 kg.

Users include the Polish Police (five units delivered in 2021 after airport bomb squads in 2018), the Border Guard (2016), the State Fire Service (2018) and the Polish Armed Forces, plus export customers in Indonesia and Africa. The design dates from 2008 and has served since 2010; it is sold on request, no list price being published.

Armed derivatives are limited to the recoilless disruptor and a 2023 demonstrator carrying GROM anti-aircraft missiles, shown with CRW Telesystem-Mesko. Within the PIAP family it sits above the medium PIAP EXPERT and the light PIAP GRYF; the American heavy-class counterpart is the Kobra 725, which lifts 150 kg at 250 kg of weight.
