LUF Nano
Munition-contaminated forest fires were the reason Landkreis Potsdam-Mittelmark bought the LUF Nano: the Buchholz (Beelitz) fire brigade took delivery on 15 July 2026 of a unit fitted with an SD 3000 monitor for about 200,000 EUR, half of it funded by the state of Brandenburg (Cleanthinking, 2026).

The Nano is the smallest member of the Austrian LUF family, an electric tracked carrier of 220 kg measuring 120 × 80 × 43 cm on 150 mm rubber tracks. Two 2.6 kW three-phase motors with 500 Nm each run from a 48 V LiFePO4 battery, giving 10 km/h, roughly 20 km of range, 35-degree climbing and about 500 kg of pull; the district quotes a 250 kg carrying capacity.
The deck accepts a fire monitor, the PowerBlower PB6 or the PB30 fan with 38 hp, the HPS150 spray system or a rail-drive kit, all controlled by radio including the monitor itself. The maker lists no flow or throw figures for the SD 3000 monitor.
The concept mirrors the RTE Robot: a pallet-sized platform that carries the nozzle into terrain where crews should not stand, light enough for an ordinary trailer rather than a dedicated transport vehicle, and far removed from the 2.2 t LUF 60 that made the brand known.
