Summary

AEON is an industrial humanoid robot from Hexagon's Robotics division, launched on 17 June 2025 at Hexagon LIVE Global in Stockholm. It combines Hexagon's precision-measurement sensor suite with AI-based spatial intelligence for manipulation, machine tending, part inspection and reality capture.

Hexagon lists a height of 165 cm, a weight of 60 kg, 34 degrees of freedom, a top speed of 2.4 m/s and a payload of 15 kg short-term or 8 kg in constant carry. One charge gives 5 hours of autonomous work, and a self-swap mechanism changes the batteries in about one minute for near-continuous operation.

AEON runs on NVIDIA Jetson and NVIDIA accelerated computing, uses maxon actuators and is trained on Microsoft Azure. Schaeffler and Pilatus are piloting it; at launch Hexagon planned production deployments within six months before a wider commercial rollout. No price has been published.
