The knees give JingChu away: instead of rotary gearboxes they use linear modules with planetary roller screws delivering up to 10,000 N, while the rotary joints rely on planetary gears rated up to 330 N·m. Linear drive is the speciality of Hubei Jingchu Humanoid Robot (JCBOT), founded in Wuhan in April 2025.

The full-size humanoid is 170 cm tall and, according to the WRC 2026 brochure, weighs 60 kg; the website says about 65 kg. The brochure counts 50 degrees of freedom, six per leg, seven per arm and five-finger hands with 11 axes of which six are actuated, whereas the website quotes 26 body degrees of freedom, so the two figures cover different scopes.
Each arm lifts about 3 kg and walking speed is around 1 m/s. A 48 V, 20 Ah battery, equivalent to 960 Wh, lasts roughly six hours by the brochure or eight by the website. Computing is shared between an Intel Core i14 processor and an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX; sensors include two RGB-D cameras, an IMU and a four-microphone array, with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.
An integrated large language model handles dialogue, navigation is vision-based and teleoperation is supported. The robot has been tested in car plants and laser-processing shops and is aimed at teaching, research, industrial sorting, greeting and shows. An ordering campaign with an accessory bundle for the first hundred buyers is running, hence the on-sale status; price on request.
The wheeled counterpart from the same company is JingChu Elf.
