The CartConnect 100 is not a classic mobile robot with its own load platform but an autonomous Zebra base that drives under FetchCart carts, hooks up to them and moves them between points on the shop floor without an operator. The whole fleet is managed in the cloud by FetchCore software, which allows route planning and monitoring of many units at once.
However, the basic technical parameters are missing from the available material: the manufacturer states no payload, speed, dimensions or weight for the robot, which makes a sound comparison with competitors difficult. There is also no information on price or availability in Poland, in contrast to, say, the FANUC cobots sold by spawalnictwo.pl.
Fetch Robotics has been part of Zebra Technologies since 2021, which acquired the company for around USD 300 million, although according to reports the group also considered divesting this business, which is itself relevant for companies weighing long-term product support.
Against competing AMRs for cart transport, such as the MiR250 or Locus Robotics, the CartConnect 100 stands out for its concept of docking to ready-made carts instead of carrying its own load platform, but judging its specific parameters requires further verification with the manufacturer.
