Eilik is not an industrial robot but a small (108x105x133 mm) stationary desktop companion from the Chinese brand EnergizeLab, with no mobility whatsoever: it moves only expressively, thanks to an OLED display serving as eyes and to touch and vibration sensors. The 450 mAh battery lasts about 1.5 hours, which puts it closer to a gadget for short interactions than a device that keeps you company all day.
The base price is USD 199 (about PLN 771 (≈ EUR 175) at the rate of 3.8762 on 1.10.2026), though the manufacturer indicates variants and promotional bundles in the range of USD 119.90-209 depending on the source and the promotion. In the market for emotional desktop companion robots it competes with models such as the Lovot and Ropet, but their specifications are not verified for comparison.
Eilik's strength is an accessible entry price into the segment and wide availability abroad (own store, Amazon, Walmart, eBay). Its weakness is the short battery life and the lack of any distributor in Poland; buying requires ordering from abroad and adding customs duty and shipping costs.
Suitable for consumer robotics enthusiasts and people looking for a desk gadget, not necessarily for anyone expecting a functional home assistant.

Price and availability in Poland
Standard price USD 199; variants and bundles USD 119.90-209 depending on source and promotion. No seller found in Poland.
Running and deployment costs
The base price is USD 199 (about PLN 771 (≈ EUR 175) at the 3.8762 rate of 1.10.2026). Variants and bundles in the sources range between USD 119.90 and 209, depending on the seller and promotion. Sales go through the manufacturer's store, Amazon, Walmart and eBay; no Polish seller was found, so add roughly shipping to the price, and for orders from outside the EU also customs duty and VAT. Running costs are minimal: power from a 450 mAh battery, charging by cable, no subscription. No training is needed; it is a gadget. The calculation is simple: at a price of about PLN 771 (≈ EUR 175) and no subscription, the total cost of ownership in the first year is the price of the robot plus delivery. With the Vector you have to add the subscription, so after a year the difference becomes noticeable.

Applications
What it's for
Eilik does not clean, carry or guard the house. Its only job is to be with you on the desk. It stands 13.3 cm tall and a little over 10 cm wide; instead of a face it has an OLED display that serves as its eyes, and four servo motors let it move and gesture. It reacts to touch and vibration: stroke it and it shows contentment, tap the desk and it jumps. It fits on a desk in a home setting, beside the keyboard. The robot responds to touch and answers with expressions. The manufacturer describes the uses as entertainment and stress relief. In an office it can act as a small desk gadget, but it will not replace an assistant. There is no point in looking for a job for it in a school or at events in any service sense: it lacks range sensors, movement through space and any utility function. On the other hand, as a gift for a robotics fan, or as a pretext for a conversation about how robots express emotions, it works well. You will find more about the category in home robots.
Typical applications
Who it's for
Yes: for adults and older children who want a small, symbolic companion for the desk with no ongoing fees. Yes: for people starting out with consumer robotics, because the price is accessible. Yes: for those bothered by subscriptions; according to the comparison in our catalog, Eilik requires no such fee.
No: for anyone expecting a home assistant, monitoring or remote control. No: for people who do not want to import hardware, because no distributor has been confirmed in Poland. No: for those counting on a full day of play, as the battery lasts about 1.5 hours. If you are looking for a robot that moves around the home by itself, look at the alternatives section. For parents of younger children I advise looking at the device critically: it is electronics with small parts, and our catalog gives neither its weight nor a manufacturer's age rating. Check these on the manufacturer's product sheet before buying, since we do not have them.
Deployments
The robot is a consumer product and there are no company installations in our catalog. From around the world we can only point to sales channels: the manufacturer's own store, Amazon, Walmart and eBay. Other desktop companion models also operate in the category of home robots, described in the section “Home robots”.
Comparison
Vector 2.0 is a desktop companion with speech recognition, at a similar entry price in the comparison in our catalog, but with a subscription (USD 11.99 per month or USD 99.99 per year) for voice commands and ChatGPT integration. Choose it if conversation matters to you.
EMO is another desktop robot with animated expressions, with a camera and "personality" features. A little more expensive, but more elaborate in interaction.
Loona Petbot is a pet robot for about PLN 2,099 (≈ EUR 480), available in Polish shops. For those who prefer to buy locally and have a bigger budget.
Enabot EBO Air 2 is for those who prefer a robot that drives around the home and watches over pets rather than sitting on a desk. All of these models have a common denominator: none of them is a utility robot. The choice comes down to whether you prefer expressions (Eilik, EMO), conversation (Vector) or roaming the home (Loona, EBO).

History
Eilik was introduced in January 2022 and went on sale in January 2023; that is what the data and the launch post show, in which Energize Lab brings a desktop companion robot to market. The manufacturer, EnergizeLab of Shenzhen, positions it as an emotional gadget. No other generations or versions are recorded in our catalog, so we do not suggest that a successor exists. More about the brand: EnergizeLab. A year passed between the January 2022 debut and the January 2023 sale, a typical period for gadgets to refine production.
