In April 2026 BrainCo launched the Revo 3, in which every one of the 21 degrees of freedom has its own direct drive and can be backdriven by hand, setting it apart from the six-motor predecessors Revo 1 and Revo 2. The thumb has five degrees of freedom, each other finger four.
Pinch force is 20 N, the hand completes three open-close cycles per second, and the controller runs at 500 Hz in position, velocity, current, MIT impedance and damping modes; the maker counts 33 grip types, and the SDK comes in Python and C++. Three configurations differ in sensing: U21 without tactile sensors, U21T with whole-hand tactile sensing and U21VT with visuo-tactile fingertips.
The SDK works over RS-485, while launch reports also mention EtherCAT and CAN-FD and a 12 to 80 V supply, which the reseller sheet does not confirm. The maker has not stated a definitive weight, which depends on the variant. The hand is sold as equipment for the Unitree H2 humanoid and for research.
The reseller OpenELAB quoted a pre-order price of 31,643.99 USD per hand including customs in October 2026, which places the Revo 3 among the most expensive hands in this group, alongside the OmniHand 3 Ultra-M with its motor in every joint.
