Westwood Robotics

Westwood Robotics is a US maker whose products rest on its own BEAR actuators, which are back-drivable and proprioceptive, sensing forces without additional sensors. On this basis the company builds two humanoids: BRUCE, a kid-size research robot with 16 degrees of freedom, and the full-size THEMIS V2, whose current version 2.5 stands 1.6 m tall and weighs 36.5 kg.

In October 2026 the company shop lists only BRUCE, at 8,950 USD; THEMIS is ordered through a contact form with price on request. Customers are mainly research institutions, with logistics and service work also named by the maker.
