MyActuator is a Chinese company selling ready-made actuators for the joints of quadruped and humanoid robots and exoskeletons. The maker's website lists several series: RMD-X with a planetary gearbox, RH and HM with a strain wave (harmonic) gear in standard and mini versions, CEM with a cycloidal gear, RMD-H and RMD-L in direct-drive variants, and the FL and FLO frameless motors. The company stresses an FOC driver, a light and quiet construction, an enclosed housing and remote firmware updates. Among applications it names exoskeletons, AGVs, humanoid and quadruped robots, medicine and aerospace.
Our materials contain no documented parameters such as torques, ratios or voltages, because the home page does not give them and the datasheets did not reach our documentation. For that reason we will give no figures for specific models and ask readers to check them in the current datasheet before sizing. We know only the general product line.
The cross-section of gearbox types in a single offering is interesting in itself. “Actuators in Humanoid Robots” describes three main solutions: the strain wave gear, the planetary roller screw and quasi-direct drive. The planetary RMD-X is the route to a cheap, durable joint, the harmonic RH gives zero backlash and a higher ratio at lower mass, and the cycloidal CEM combines rigidity with shock resistance, as the description of Nabtesco also says. A frameless motor from Kollmorgen is a different class and a different price.
In which robots? We have no robot in our catalog with a named MyActuator actuator, so we will not point to a catalogue model. The maker aims its offer at quadruped robots, as in quadruped robots, at humanoids, as in humanoid robots, and at exoskeletons, covered by exoskeletons and the article “Exoskeletons in Rehabilitation and Industry”. Finished robots such as Unitree G1 or Unitree Go2 are bought as a whole, and MyActuator is an offer for builders of their own machines; we do not claim that these models use its actuators.
For a robot's cost, a ready actuator off the shelf shortens the project: instead of choosing motor, gearbox, encoder and controller separately, you buy a module. The module costs more than the sum of cheaper parts, but a prototype appears faster. The scale of the whole robot's cost depends on the number of joints, as “How Much Does a Humanoid Robot Cost in 2026” and “Degrees of Freedom (DOF) in Humanoid Robots” explain. Alternatives are CubeMars, SteadyWin and Harmonic Drive, and with an open controller mjbots.
For Poland and Europe the materials name no distributor. The offer looks available from the maker and through online sales channels, which means shipping from China, customs duty and VAT. When ordering for a company or university, check the warranty and local service availability, because we have not confirmed it.
