Nova is StarBot's first-generation wheeled service humanoid, standing 5 ft (about 152 cm) and weighing 70 lb, roughly 32 kg. The Santa Barbara company fitted it with two 7-DoF arms; the total number of joints across the body is not disclosed.
Each arm handles 2 to 3 kg, the differential-drive base moves at 0.8 to 1.2 m/s, and the runtime target is 10 to 12 hours depending on configuration, with a three-hour charge. Perception relies on Intel RealSense-class depth cameras, an RGB camera and an IMU, while the software layer provides spoken dialogue and navigation, without further detail from the maker.
The intended jobs are greeting guests, delivering dishes and guiding customers in restaurants, hotels and shops. StarBot announced the launch in December 2025 and showed the robot at the World Humanoid Robot Games 2025.
Its commercial status is ambiguous: the timeline speaks of a launch, yet the features page also presents Nova as a research platform, and there is neither an order button nor a price list, so the price is on request. An emergency stop and a deployment-specific speed limit are confirmed. The folding StarBot Flex is the announced successor.
