Matrix Robotics

Matrix Robotics is a humanoid start-up led by CEO Allen Zhang whose website names neither a headquarters nor a country. The company developed the full-size MATRIX-1, 180 cm tall with 55 in-house MPA 3.0 actuators and 22-joint hands, and on 10 January 2026 launched its successor MATRIX-3 with integrated linear actuators and a cable-driven hand with 27 degrees of freedom.

Access to the MATRIX-3 runs through an early-access programme for industrial partners, with first pilot deployments expected from mid-2026. At WAIC 2026 in Shanghai the company spoke of plans to build 5,000 units in 2026 and 10,000 in 2027.
