British startup Humanoid has unveiled the HMND 01 as an industrial robot standing 179 cm (5 ft 10 in) tall and weighing 90 kg, with 41 degrees of freedom, a 15 kg payload and a walking speed of up to 1.5 m/s on roughly 4 hours of battery life.
The design is modular: the upper and lower body and the grippers can be swapped depending on the job, whether that is logistics, warehousing, manufacturing or order picking. The company relies on its own locomotion and whole-body control algorithms, and in July 2026 it was valued at about 1.1 billion euros after a 133 million euro funding round, making it one of the more highly valued European humanoid companies in this lineup.
Next to its rivals in the category, such as Italy's ergoCub (a research prototype with no stated plans for commercialization) and Japan's Honda Avatar Robot (teleoperated, not autonomous), the HMND 01 stands out for its claimed pace of development: the maker calls it the "fastest-developed humanoid." The weak point is that no verified official company website could be found while we were putting this profile together, so the figures come solely from press reports and aggregators.
Neither a price nor a commercial availability date has been announced, and the robot is not available in Poland.
