Summary

An electric-car maker's entry into humanoids: Faraday Future of Los Angeles develops the FF Futurist within its EAI robotics arm, which the company structures as EAI Brain, EAI Data Factory and EAI Devices. The first generation appeared on 5 February 2026 at the NADA Show.

According to the tech outlet ifanr it stands 169 cm, weighs 69 kg, has 40 degrees of freedom, moves at up to 1.2 m/s and can stand continuously for about three hours. Reservations opened at 100 dollars, and press coverage quoted a price band of 17,500 to 250,000 yuan for the whole product family without tying it to a model, so this version remains price on request.

Drive, sensors and computing are not described, and the manufacturer site robotics.ff.com does not name its models at all. In June 2026 the company announced a reworked generation, referred to in Chinese media as the Futurist 2027: 173 cm, 55 kg, 31 degrees of freedom excluding hands, 320 Nm at the knee, roughly 17.7 km/h, a 1,152 Wh dual battery for up to six hours and a price of 89,900 dollars including a 10,000 dollar skills package, plus an Ultra version with a Jetson Thor.

Intended uses are event hosting, customer interaction and workplace assistance. The first generation's status is prototype. Its smaller sibling in the same family is the FF Master.
