NVIDIA, founded in 1993 in Santa Clara, California, is a GPU and robotics-platform company; in the humanoid field it supplies Jetson computers and the Isaac GR00T software stack rather than building bodies of its own. On 1 June 2026 it announced the Isaac GR00T Reference Humanoid Robot for academic research, combining a Unitree H2 Plus body, tactile Sharpa Wave hands and a Jetson AGX Thor module.
Launch users are Ai2, ETH Zurich, the Stanford Robotics Center, UC San Diego's ARCLab and NVIDIA Research; Unitree sells the platform from late 2026. NVIDIA operates its own newsroom.
