Start With the Garden, Then the Model
A robot mower is chosen for a specific lawn. Before comparing prices, measure three things: the area, the steepest spot and the narrowest passage between parts of the garden. Then check whether the lawn sits under open sky or under tree crowns and next to building walls. That decides the navigation type, and the navigation type largely sets the price.
The robot lawn mowers category of the catalogue holds 26 robot mowers. 25 of them are for home gardens; one, the Husqvarna CEORA 546 EPOS, is a professional mower for sports fields and parks. We checked the prices in this guide at Polish shops on 10 October 2026; the Navimow X4 price a day earlier.
Step 1: Lawn Area — Leave Headroom
Makers state a maximum area, usually under favourable conditions. According to Dreame, the Dreame A2 2000 mows 1,000 m² per day in standard mode and 2,000 m² in efficient mode, so it only covers the full stated area when working hard. The Husqvarna Automower 308V is listed for 800 m², but for 500 m² in irregular mowing mode. It is safer to pick a model whose range clearly exceeds your lawn, especially if the garden has several zones or many flower beds.
The second figure is output per charge. The STIGA A 4 mows for at most 40 minutes and returns to its station often. According to Mammotion the YUKA mini 2 covers about 250 m² per charge, and STIGA puts the A 10v at about 210 m². A large lawn is mown in several cycles. That is normal, but it stretches the total mowing time.
Step 2: Wire, RTK, Camera or LiDAR
A boundary wire is the oldest and cheapest solution. The robot drives inside a wire that has to be laid around the lawn and pinned down. GARDENA kits include 150 to 200 m of wire, the Bosch Indego M+ 700 kit 175 m. Every change to the flower beds means moving the installation.
RTK-GNSS calculates position from satellite signals improved with correction data. The corrections come either from your own reference station set up in the garden or from the maker's network or cloud. Lawn boundaries are drawn in the app. It needs a good view of the sky, because the signal weakens next to walls and under trees.
A camera recognises grass, edges and obstacles. The Bosch VISIMOW18V-100 relies on it alone and mows lawns of up to 100 m² in a random pattern. In other models the camera supports RTK or LiDAR. It is less useful after dark: Husqvarna states plainly that the 308V's vision functions do not work after dusk.
LiDAR scans the surroundings with a laser and builds its own map of the garden. It needs no antenna and no satellite signal, which is why makers stress that it works under trees. The most expensive models combine LiDAR with network RTK.
We cover the details and which model uses which system in “Wire-Free Robot Mowers”.
Step 3: Slopes and Narrow Passages
Maximum slope in the catalogue ranges from 25% (Automower Aspire R4, SILENO minimo 500) to 80% for all-wheel-drive models (LUBA mini 2 AWD, Dreame A3 AWD Pro, LUBA 3 AWD). Segway rates the Navimow X4 at 84%. Read the footnotes: for wired robots GARDENA and Husqvarna list a separate, lower value along the wire, namely 10%. For the 308V it is 40% inside the lawn and 15% at the boundary. If your plot has steep sections, see “Robot Lawn Mower for Slopes”.
Measure the narrowest passage as well. GARDENA's CorridorCut function guides its robots through passages 60 cm wide, the YUKA mini 2 fits through 55 cm, the GOAT O800 needs 0.7 m, the GOAT O1200 0.8 m and the GOAT A3000 90 cm.
Step 4: Budget
The cheapest model in the catalogue cost PLN 1,792 (≈ EUR 410), the most expensive garden model PLN 11,606 (≈ EUR 2,660), and the median price of the 25 garden models is PLN 5,199 (≈ EUR 1,190). Price depends mainly on area, drive and navigation type. We cover the price spread, promotions and extra costs in “Robot Lawn Mower Prices in Poland (2026)”.

Gross prices from one offer per model: the maker's own shop or a Polish online shop. We checked the Navimow X4 (X420 version) price on 9 October 2026. Notes in brackets show the offer status on the day of checking. Area and slope come from the makers' data.
What to Check on the Spec Sheet
- Area and operating mode. Check whether the figure applies to standard, efficient or irregular mowing mode.
- Slope. Look for separate values for the inside of the lawn and for the boundary.
- Cutting width and height. In the catalogue the cutting width ranges from 16 to 40 cm (Navimow X4: 43 cm) and the height from 20 to 100 mm (Dreame A3 AWD Pro: 30–100 mm). A narrow cut means longer work on a large lawn.
- Noise. From 50 dB (LUBA mini 2 AWD) to 70 dB (LUBA 3 AWD). Segway gives values measured in a lab without mowing, and on ECOVACS models with the TruEdge trimmer noise rises to 81–82 dB(A).
- Connectivity and subscription. On the STIGA A 4, 4G connectivity is included for 2+1 years; after that the package has to be bought. The STIGA A 10v includes connectivity and navigation free for 10 years, and Mammotion ships the LUBA mini 2 AWD and LUBA 3 AWD with a 4G module and three years of data.
- What is in the box. The Bosch VISIMOW18V-100 kit list has no docking station, the Cut-to-Zero module is optional on the Worx WR365E, and the anti-collision radar for the GARDENA smart SILENO free 1500 is sold separately.
- Availability. On 10 October 2026 both Dreame models were sold out, and the ECOVACS GOAT O800 and O1200 were awaiting delivery.
In Short: Which Mower for Which Garden
- Small, flat lawn with a fixed layout: a wired model or a simple camera robot.
- Medium, open garden: RTK from a network or with your own reference station.
- Many trees and tall walls: LiDAR or a LiDAR plus RTK combination.
- Steep slopes: all-wheel drive and a rated slope with headroom.
We collected examples for typical plots in “Which Robot Lawn Mower for My Garden”, and all garden robots in the garden overview.
Frequently asked questions
Which robot mower suits a small lawn of up to 500 m²?
The catalogue lists five models for up to 500 m², priced from PLN 1,792 (≈ EUR 410) to PLN 3,899 (≈ EUR 895) (as of 10 October 2026): the camera-based Bosch VISIMOW18V-100, the wired Automower Aspire R4 and SILENO minimo 500, the RTK-based STIGA A 4 and the network-RTK Navimow i205 AWD. On a flat lawn with a fixed layout a wired model is enough; if the garden layout changes, a wire-free robot is more convenient.
Is a wire-free robot always better?
Not always. RTK needs a good view of the sky, cameras work less well after dark and LiDAR raises the price. A boundary wire is cheap and predictable, but it has to be laid and moved every time you rearrange the flower beds.
What slope can a robot mower handle?
In the catalogue, from 25% (Automower Aspire R4, SILENO minimo 500) to 80% for all-wheel-drive models; the Navimow X4 is rated at 84% by its maker. For wired robots, makers list a separate, lower value along the wire: 10% at GARDENA and Husqvarna.
Is the stated lawn area the real capacity?
It is a maximum. According to Dreame, the A2 2000 mows 1,000 m² per day in standard mode and 2,000 m² in efficient mode, and the Automower 308V covers 500 instead of 800 m² in irregular mode. Choose a model with headroom.
How much does a robot mower cost in Poland?
On 10 October 2026 the 25 garden models in the catalogue cost from PLN 1,792 (≈ EUR 410) to PLN 11,606 (≈ EUR 2,660), with a median of PLN 5,199 (≈ EUR 1,190). The professional Husqvarna CEORA 546 EPOS costs PLN 99,990 (≈ EUR 22,910) for the drive unit alone.
