Tiangong (天工, Tiāngōng) is the open-source base humanoid of the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center and the parent of every X-Humanoid machine seen at competitions. The standard robot measures about 163 cm and weighs 43 kg; Science and Technology Daily credits it with a 10 km/h cruising speed, 12 km/h peak and the title of the first fully electric humanoid able to run.
Structural drawings and software of the Tiangong 1.0 Lite and Pro variants were released as open source in November and December 2024, which is why the catalogue lists the price as on request rather than a fixed sum. From this platform the centre derived the record-breaking Tiangong Ultra, the small-class Tiangong Omni and the 2.0 and 3.0 generations with dual hot-swappable batteries.
At the 2026 World Humanoid Robot Games the centre entered four models in more than forty events; team Tiangong 001 won the heavy tug-of-war, although the sources do not specify which variant pulled the rope. Height and mass come from secondary press; one outlet quotes 1.85 m and 80 kg, probably for a different configuration.
For universities and labs the main appeal is the open documentation, which no comparable running humanoid offers.
