REK G1

Before REK moved to full-size humanoids, its fighters were modified Unitree G1 robots. Rest of World puts them at about 80 lb (36 kg) and 4.5 ft (137 cm); Unitree’s datasheet gives 1.32 m, about 35 kg and 23 degrees of freedom.

REK added human-like hands, balance software and its REK TEK teleoperation: a pilot at ringside wears a Meta Quest headset and combat controllers, and the robot mirrors every movement, with a gamepad as the alternative. Bouts are fought with boxing gloves; armour and swords were announced in August 2025.

Results: REK0 at Temple Nightclub, San Francisco, on 26 September 2025 (about 3,000 spectators) was won by Twitch co-founder Justin Kan against UFC fighter Amil Hyder; the REK America tour through Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Austin and New York (11 to 25 November 2025) went to Eugene Chung; REK1 at Kezar Pavilion on 7 February 2026 was won by 13-year-old pilot Dash Summit.

One card used two fights of five 60-second rounds with a human referee and tickets at 60 to 80 USD. The base G1 starts at 13,500 USD and REK sells new G1-E units on request. Since June 2026 the headline fights belong to the taller REK T800 'Terminator'; the G1 version remains the robot of the league’s first year.
