Announced on 28 July 2026 with preorders opening the next day, the NORI L3 is a low-cost wheeled home robot with two arms from Nori Robotics, a four-person US startup founded by Antonio Sitong Li and backed by Y Combinator, which assembles its machines in San Francisco. Buyers of the earlier L2, priced at 1,288 USD according to press reports, were offered a free upgrade to the L3.
The robot is electric, rolls on a wheeled base and uses grippers instead of fingered hands; the company says owners can teach it tasks themselves. It is pitched at homes, AI research and teaching. Naming is the complication: by October 2026 the Nori website lists only a NORI A3 at 1,688 USD, paid in full without a deposit, shipping in autumn 2026.
For the A3 the site quotes 7 plus 1 degrees of freedom per arm, 1.5 kg per arm, four 720p cameras, a 12 m lidar and 6 to 8 hours of runtime. Whether the A3 is a renamed L3 is not stated, so those figures are reported with caution and the L3 itself has no confirmed dimensions. The nearest price neighbour in this catalogue is the personal robot PrimeBOT Q1.
