DH2116 Series

The DH2116 is Leadshine's flagship and brings a high active joint count into series production: five fingers, 21 degrees of freedom, 16 of them driven by brushless coreless motors through lead screws.

It weighs 850 g, measures 218 by 119 by 80.5 mm, grips with 94 N according to the data table although marketing quotes 100 N, and holds 5 kg in a hook grip; opening or closing takes at least 0.6 s, repeatability is 0.6 mm and the rated life is 300,000 cycles over a two-year design life. Position and current sensing are built in, but the R1 version has no tactile sensors.

Communication uses CAN FD or RS-485 at 5 Mbit/s with ROS 2 support and an open SDK for C++ and Python; supply is 24 to 60 V with 0.16, 1 and 5 A current draw, protection class IP30. In the maker's store the right and left versions DH2116-R1 and -L1 were listed at USD 12,999 on promotion against a regular 14,999 in October 2026, FOB Shenzhen. Target buyers are humanoid makers and labs.

The Linker Hand L20 matches the 16 active plus 5 passive layout with linkages instead of screws; Leadshine's budget model is the DH116 Series.
