Summary

Speed is the calling card of the RH56BFX from Beijing-based Inspire Robots: the four fingers flex at up to 570 degrees per second, the thumb at 150 degrees per second, and the thumb swings sideways more than 65 degrees at 235 degrees per second.

Six motors inside the five-finger hand drive 6 degrees of freedom across 12 joints at a weight of 540 g. Forces are modest, 6 N at the thumb and 4 N at the fingertips, which marks the hand for human-machine interaction and gesturing rather than lifting. Absolute position sensors and force sensors with 0.5 N resolution give 0.2 mm repeatability.

It communicates over RS-485, accepts 12 to 48 V with 24 V nominal, draws 0.09 to 2 A, locks its joints when power is lost and holds position at power-up. The RH56BFXW variant adds a two-axis wrist with plus or minus 27 degrees of yaw and 22 degrees of pitch at 2 Nm, raising the weight to 650 g. Price on request. For more force in the same package choose the RH56DFX.
