Three hundred built by 2023 and dozens at work in Ukraine: the MV-4 from DOK-ING of Zagreb – founded in 1991 by Vjekoslav Majetić and majority-owned by Rheinmetall since 1 July 2026 – is the light demining system with the largest documented fleet in this catalogue.
The tracked vehicle weighs 6,120 kg, measures 464 × 203 × 174 cm and runs on a 186 kW (250 hp) Perkins diesel with 1,050 Nm burning 15 to 25 l/h; transit speed is 7.15 km/h, working speed 0.5 to 1.26 km/h. Hardox 450 armour withstands anti-personnel and anti-tank mine detonations according to the maker.
Tools include a 1,800 mm flail (over 250–300 mm depth), a 1,800 mm tiller (300–350 mm), a 2,070 mm segmented roller, an EOD arm lifting 400 kg at 5.4 m, a 4 t dozer blade, a 1,500 kg rotating grabber, rear bucket and forklift; clearance rate is 1,400 to 1,800 m²/h. Radio control reaches 1,500 m with day and low-light cameras and IR lighting, and the machine fits a 20-foot container or a CH-47 sling.
Ukraine's DSNS operates at least 14 units (as of January 2024) plus 10 handed over by South Korea in 2024 and 2 donated by the Howard G. Buffett Foundation; the Armed Forces run 3 refurbished machines from Sweden, Swiss FSD one, and Ukraine's A3tech has assembled MV-4s locally since 2020. No unit price is published (a 2025 Thai donation of 'over 100 million baht' names no quantity), so pricing is on request.
The Slovak Bozena 5 is twice as heavy and wider, but the MV-4 wins on transportability.
