Teledyne FLIR Defense, part of Teledyne Technologies, carries on the work of iRobot Defense and Endeavor Robotics as maker of the PackBot, Centaur and Kobra families of EOD robots; the unit is based in Chelmsford, Massachusetts (general knowledge).
More than 4,000 PackBots have been delivered worldwide, and since 2020 the US Army's MTRS Increment II programme has ordered over 1,800 Centaurs at roughly USD 124,000 per system including spares, based on the July 2022 order. The PackBot 525 also serves with the German Bundeswehr. Teledyne FLIR is a member of Team Ripsaw, supplying sensors for Textron's robotic combat vehicles.
