General Dynamics Land Systems of Sterling Heights, Michigan, part of General Dynamics, builds the Abrams tank and the Stryker vehicle family and, in ground robotics, the MUTT line of 4x4, 6x6 and 8x8 unmanned carriers.
The 8x8 version won the US Army's S-MET programme in July 2020 with a USD 249 million contract, becoming the Army's first fielded robotic infantry support vehicle, in service since 2021 with units such as the 10th Mountain Division, the 82nd Airborne and the 4th Infantry Division.
