DG-5F-S

The DG-5F-S is Tesollo's answer to humanoid makers who found the DG-5F-M too heavy. Shown at CES in January 2026 and on sale since 2026, it keeps 20 degrees of freedom with 20 actuators but replaces the earlier drives with direct-drive actuators developed in-house since 2023, bringing the weight down to 880 g at the size of an adult hand.

It runs on 24 V with up to 10 A and closes its control loop at 500 Hz.

Payload scales down accordingly: 1 kg nominal and 2 kg peak in a pinch, 7 kg nominal and 12 kg peak when wrapping an object. Absolute encoders sit in every joint; tactile fingertips are optional, not standard. Ethernet TCP/IP, Modbus TCP, ROS 2 and a Linux SDK cover integration, and a compact 15-DoF version is planned.

No list price is published, so the hand is priced on request; according to the maker it costs about 60 percent of the DG-5F-M. Against the heavier DG-5F it trades half the payload for half the weight, which is what most humanoid wrists need.
