RP1 (ROBOTO 01)

The RP1, also called ROBOTO 01, is the factory-assembled successor to the ROBOTO Origin kit and, like it, keeps both hardware and software fully open. Shanghai-based RoboParty aims it at embodied-AI research teams and teaching.

The biped stands 1.35 m, weighs about 39 kg and has 24 active degrees of freedom with 5-axis arms and 6-axis legs; the RP1 Pro weighs about 41 kg and offers 30 degrees of freedom, 7-axis arms, a 2-axis head and a 6-DoF hand, whereas the base RP1 uses a prosthetic hand, with 6- or 22-DoF hands as options. The joints are RoboParty's own Romomo modules, 100 mm in diameter with 160 N·m peak torque.

The robot runs at up to 4 m/s, recovers from pushes and falls, works for 3 hours and recharges in 1.5 hours; the dual 10 Ah battery can be hot-swapped and charging uses 140 W USB-C. Computing is an RK3588, in the Pro joined by an A733, with an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16 GB as an option; the software runs on ROS 2. Heads are interchangeable for motion, interaction, data capture or perception.
