Lightning (闪电, Shǎndiàn)

Honor's Lightning (闪电, Shǎndiàn, called 'Flash' by Xinhua) is a purpose-built running humanoid from the Shenzhen smartphone maker, developed in roughly twelve months after the company set up a robotics incubation unit in April 2025. It stands 169 cm with 0.95 m legs proportioned after elite runners, the hip pivot moved upward into the torso.

Its joint motors deliver a 400 N·m peak torque and are liquid-cooled through four separate loops, one per leg motor, each pump moving more than 4 l/min; the core HD01 pump from Huake Lengxin spins above 20,000 rpm and weighs under 100 g, housed in a backpack. Weight, battery and degrees of freedom have never been disclosed.

On 19 April 2026 six Honor teams occupied places one to six at the Beijing E-Town humanoid half marathon. The autonomous Qitian Dasheng ('Monkey King') team won in 50:26, under Jacob Kiplimo's human world record of 57:20, while the remotely guided Jueying Chitu team crossed the line first in 48:19 gross but lost on the 1.2 weighting factor.

At the 2026 World Humanoid Robot Games the Fenghuo Shandian team took bronze over 100 m (8.83 s) and 1500 m (2:30.22) and silver in the small-class 400 m. Peak speed claims conflict: 14.5 m/s per EFY, about 6 m/s per 36Kr. Unlike the Unitree H1, Lightning is not for sale.
