Changingtek of Taicang in Jiangsu province announced the X2 hand on 26 February 2026, and its distinguishing trick is that it reconfigures itself between a left-hand and a right-hand layout: one unit can serve either side of a robot, which simplifies spare-part stocks. The drive is tendon-based with motors outside the hand, and each of the five fingers is controlled individually.

The maker quotes a maximum grip of 50 N, 10 N per fingertip and force control to within 0.1 N; it describes the hand as lightweight without giving a figure. A vision coordination system recognises objects and locates them to adapt the grasp. Changingtek lists humanoids, industry, laboratories and space applications as target fields.

The launch press release is the only source, so the number of degrees of freedom, actuator count, weight, load capacity, tactile sensors and interfaces remain unknown; figures such as 16 DOF or 1.2 kg found on comparison sites are not confirmed by the maker. The hand is in a pilot phase and priced on request. Another tendon-driven design with published specifications is the CYBORG-HO2.
