Tencent Robotics X is the robotics research lab of Tencent Holdings, founded in 2018 in Shenzhen. The team works on robots for the home and for care: in September 2024 it showed the wheel-legged The Five (Xiao Wu) with tactile skin and a multi-finger hand, and in July 2026 at WAIC its successor Xiao Liu, which according to press reports gives massages using force and tactile sensing.
The lab has announced neither commercialisation plans nor specifications for its demonstrators, and its web address now leads to the Tencent TAIROS platform.
