Team Apollo is the British team of brothers Dave Young, the driver, and Alan Young, builders of the white-and-black pneumatic flipper Apollo, which won the first series of the Robot Wars revival (Series 8, 2016) by beating the spinner Carbide in the Grand Final. The team’s base is not given in verified sources. Since the show ended in 2018 the team has not competed on television.
Apollo’s win showed that a high-pressure flipper could beat the rotating weapons then dominating the sport.
