Kinisi Robotics is a start-up founded in 2024 by Bren Pierce with roots in both the United Kingdom and California. In July 2025 it unveiled the KR1, a wheeled mobile manipulator with a humanoid upper body designed for picking, sorting and moving goods in warehouses, retail and manufacturing.
The robot is now marketed by Bear Robotics under the Kinisi brand, and kinisi.com redirects to the Bear website; the date of the takeover has not been officially confirmed. Bear Robotics contributes its Bear Universe cloud platform for fleet management. The KR1 is in pilot deployments at factories and warehouses.
