Kind Humanoid is history rather than an active manufacturer. The Palo Alto company, founded by Christoph Kohstall, a former Stanford researcher and Google Robotics engineer, built a bipedal humanoid called Mona for work in homes and healthcare, with a bio-inspired body, LLM integration and a face designed together with the studio Fuseproject.

In January 2025 the Norwegian company 1X Technologies acquired it for an undisclosed sum, after which Kind Humanoid ceased to exist as an independent entity. There is no known model to list, which fits: Mona never went on sale as a separate brand and at most lives on today as technology inside 1X. The year of founding and financial details, beyond the fact of the acquisition, are not available.

What matters for readers is mainly what Kind Humanoid was: one more sign of consolidation in the young humanoid market around a handful of larger players.
