Jan De Coster Studio (Sulu.be)

Jan De Coster is a Belgian designer of humanoid robots who formerly worked under the studio name Sulu.be and now runs a studio under his own name. He does not build in series: each robot is a one-off character made to order for events, advertising campaigns and installations, with the emphasis on personality and audience contact rather than technical specifications.

His best-known creation is Steve, a two-metre friendly giant that hosted events and appeared in Belgian cinema campaigns for Brightfish. The former addresses jandecoster.com and sulu.be now lead to the studio site.
