Havelsan

Havelsan of Ankara is a Turkish defence software and systems company owned by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (TSKGV), known for simulators and command systems. In ground robotics it develops the medium Barkan UGV – in Turkish Armed Forces service since July 2023 with an Aselsan SARP-L weapon station and a loitering-munition launcher – and the heavier 8x8 Kapgan with a 30 mm gun, unveiled at SAHA 2022; a Barkan 3 has been announced.

Havelsan's goal is swarm operation in which the Kapgan works alongside lighter Barkans. The Barkan competed in 2021 against three other platforms in a Turkish military tender.
