Hydronalix, Inc. of Green Valley, Arizona (some sources say Sahuarita) was founded in 2009 by Anthony Mulligan and makes the EMILY remote-controlled rescue buoy – Emergency Integrated Lifesaving Lanyard – as well as small unmanned surface vessels. Development was supported by the US Office of Naval Research and SBIR funding.

EMILY is used by lifeguards in the United States and helped rescue refugees off Lesbos in 2016. The product page emilyrobot.com gives no figures; the 2024 catalogue is a PDF of more than 10 MB, so specifications in this catalogue come from trade press and ONR material.
