An Agricultural Drone Is a Machine, Not a Toy

An agricultural drone sprays crops or spreads fertiliser and seed. It weighs from over ten to several dozen kilograms, and large models exceed 100 kg with a full tank. The heaviest, the DJI Agras T100, has a maximum take-off mass of 177 kg according to DJI. The rules treat such flights differently from camera drones.

DJI dominates the Polish market with its Agras series. The second major maker is China's XAG with its P series. Alongside them sits a mapping drone: the DJI Mavic 3 Multispectral does not spray but takes multispectral images that are turned into crop health maps and prescription maps for spraying drones. All drones are listed in the drones catalogue.

Capacities and masses come from the manufacturers. Prices come from Polish online shops and include VAT; the column notes whether the product was available on the day of checking. The older XAG P30 from 2019 with a 16 L tank is also on the market.

Tank, Spray Width and Working Time

Tank size is the first number farmers compare, but not the only one. Sensors matter when flying low over a crop; we describe them in general in “What Is Inside a Drone”. The DJI Agras T50 has phased-array radar at the front and rear plus binocular vision. The XAG P150 has a 4D imaging radar with a range of 1.5–100 m.

DJI states the spray width for the Agras T50: 4–11 m at 3 m above the crop. It depends on the conditions and the required evenness of coverage. The flow rate is 16 L/min with two sprinklers and 24 L/min with four. The T50's spreading width is 8 m according to DJI.

Flight time is short. For the Agras T20P DJI states 14.5 minutes of hovering without load, 7 minutes with a full spraying load and 6 minutes when spreading. That is why spare batteries and fast charging matter in field work. The Agras T50 uses a 30,000 mAh battery at 52.22 V, the XAG P150 a 20,000 mAh battery at 48.75 V.

According to DJI, the Agras T55 operates in wind up to 6 m/s, the same as the T20P. The XAG P100 Pro, P150 and P150 Max are rated IPX6K.

What the Price Includes

Agricultural drone prices are hard to compare because shops sell different bundles. Megadron sells the Agras T100 as a bare frame for PLN 52,899 (≈ EUR 12,100) (as of 16 October 2026). The spraying system costs an extra EUR 2,586.10 there, the DB2160 battery EUR 3,215.50 and the C12000 charger EUR 1,670.60. Megadron also rents the Agras T50 from EUR 353 net per month on a 12-month contract.

For XAG neither the manufacturer nor Polish shops publish prices. MDRON has product pages for the XAG P100 Pro and P150 Max without a price (as of 16 October 2026).

A crop mapping drone is cheaper. On 16 October 2026 MDRON sold the DJI Mavic 3 Multispectral with one year of DJI Care for PLN 17,064 (≈ EUR 3,900). It weighs 951 g, flies for up to 43 minutes and has a 4/3-inch 20 MP RGB camera plus four 5 MP multispectral cameras.

Rules: the Specific Category

The open category, where most camera drones fly, excludes dropping material and drones of 25 kg or more. An agricultural drone breaks both conditions: it sprays and it is heavier. Agricultural flights therefore take place in the specific category. In the catalogue we mark every Agras and XAG model as specific. This is not a class assigned by the manufacturer but the category of operation. Classes and categories are explained in “Drone Classes C0–C6 and Subcategories A1, A2, A3 Explained for Buyers”.

Until 6 January 2026 Poland had an exemption for agricultural drones (the Agro exemption). According to ULC, the authority has prepared a follow-up exemption that also covers drones heavier than 150 kg. It allows a pilot to convert from one type to another, for example from the Agras T25 to the T50, by self-study or manufacturer training. Approval for the training applies to a specific model. Check the current status of the exemption with ULC before the season.

Paperwork costs according to antyweb: a ULC operational authorisation costs PLN 500 (≈ EUR 115), and an LUC certificate PLN 5,000 (≈ EUR 1,140) plus a surcharge that depends on the risk level (SAIL). STS-01 courses cost PLN 1,950–3,000 (≈ EUR 445–685) (as of 16 October 2026). The mandatory third-party liability insurance under the Polish Aviation Act covers drones up to 20 kg. Heavier agricultural drones fall under Regulation (EC) 785/2004. More in “Mandatory Drone Liability Insurance in Poland Since 13 November 2025”.

Dealers and Service in Poland

Several companies with professional equipment experience sell DJI agricultural drones:

  • Megadron in Gdynia sells the Agras T25 and the T100 frame and runs VLOS and BVLOS training.
  • NaviGate in Kraków carries DJI Agriculture and has its own STS-01 and STS-02 training centre, rental and service.
  • TPI in Warsaw has worked in surveying equipment since 1989 and showed an Agras T30 at AGROTECH 2024.
  • Drony.net has product pages for the Agras T25P, T70P and T100, and MDRON for the XAG P100 Pro, P150 Max and DJI Mavic 3 Multispectral.

Service is the strong point of this part of the market. DJI's website lists four authorised service centres in Poland, all for DJI Agriculture spraying drones (as of 16 October 2026):

  • Vera Holding (Agrodron), ul. Siewna 15, Łódź; the company also offers drone spraying services,
  • INNPRO, ul. Rudzka 65C, Rybnik,
  • TPI, Wał Miedzeszyński 598, Warsaw,
  • DRA Tech, ul. Wiedeńska 94G, Warsaw; the company is also a DJI Agriculture dealer.

By comparison, DJI lists no service centre in Poland for consumer drones.

In Short

  • Spray tanks in the catalogue range from 16 L (XAG P30) to 100 L (DJI Agras T100).
  • Polish prices are mainly published by Megadron, often without availability. XAG quotes prices on request.
  • Agricultural flights belong to the specific category: a ULC authorisation or the agricultural exemption.
  • Poland has four authorised DJI Agriculture service centres.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a DJI Agras spraying drone cost in Poland?

On 16 October 2026 Megadron listed the Agras T25 at PLN 42,799 (≈ EUR 9,790) and the Agras T50 at PLN 61,799 (≈ EUR 14,140), both unavailable. The Agras T100 frame alone was available for PLN 52,899 (≈ EUR 12,100). For the T100 the spraying system, battery and charger are bought separately.

Do I need a permit to fly an agricultural drone?

Yes. Spraying from a drone counts as dropping material, and agricultural drones weigh more than 25 kg, so they do not fit the open category. Flights take place in the specific category under a ULC authorisation or the exemption ULC has prepared for agriculture.

What tank does the DJI Agras T50 have?

According to DJI, the spray tank holds 40 L and the spreading tank 75 L with a 50 kg load. The spray width is 4–11 m at 3 m above the crop, and the flow rate reaches 24 L/min with four sprinklers.

Is XAG available in Poland?

The shop MDRON has product pages for the XAG P100 Pro and P150 Max without a price (as of 16 October 2026). The catalogue has no Polish offer for the P150. XAG quotes prices only on request.

Where can I get a DJI Agras serviced?

DJI lists four DJI Agriculture service centres in Poland: Vera Holding (Agrodron) in Łódź, INNPRO in Rybnik, TPI in Warsaw and DRA Tech in Warsaw (as of 16 October 2026).
