Y-Hand M2 (应手)

Y-Hand M2, or 应手 in Chinese, is the flagship soft hand of Yuequan Bionics, built on a tension-compression principle like a human hand. Instead of motors at the joints, magneto-electric YQ-Muscles work through bionic tendons, giving no fewer than 38 degrees of freedom; the muscle count is not disclosed.

Whole-hand grip force is 28.7 kg, about 281 N, all five fingers close in 0.2 s, and fingertip repeatability reaches 0.04 mm. A tactile skin covers the entire hand. Weight, payload, interfaces and power supply are not stated. First shown in August 2025, the hand was exhibited bare at the World Robot Conference 2026 and works on the maker's X-Bot and W-Bot humanoids.

The family also includes the M0 with 16 DoF at 440 g, the M1 with 26 DoF and a 299.7 g palm, and an announced M3 with around 70 DoF; the 28.7 kg figure comes from a report that still called the hand M1.
