The Amazing Hand is the cheapest design in this group: Pollen Robotics, the French open-source company owned by Hugging Face, released it on 8 July 2025 as a fully 3D-printed hand to build yourself, with parts costing under EUR 200.
Four fingers each have two degrees of freedom, eight in total, and every axis has its own Feetech SCS0009 servo inside the hand; a parallel differential mechanism turns the motion of two servos into flexion and abduction of the finger. The thumb opposes only the index finger. The hand weighs 400 g. There is no tactile sensing, although the servos report position, torque and temperature.
Control runs over the Feetech serial bus from Python, and the repository ships example programs. Software is under Apache 2.0, the mechanical files under CC BY 4.0. Load and grip force are not stated. The hand is designed to fit Pollen's own Reachy 2 humanoid and serves research, teaching and hobby projects.
Ready-made kits come from partners, but their prices are not confirmed, so the price is on request. Anyone who wants more than eight joints on a small budget can look at the open-source RUKA.
