The ALLEX Hand is the end effector of the ALLEX general-purpose humanoid from WIRobotics in Korea, unveiled on 18 August 2025. It is not sold separately, and every figure here comes from the launch announcement.
Sized like a human hand, it has 15 degrees of freedom and weighs about 700 g. Fingertip force reaches 40 N, a hook grip withstands more than 30 kg while the humanoid's arm itself carries over 3 kg, and fingertip repeatability is 0.3 mm or better. What sets it apart is sensitivity without sensors: through inherent mechanical compliance the hand detects forces of 100 grams although it carries no tactile sensors.
The announcement does not describe the actuation principle, actuator count or interfaces, and does not state the number of fingers explicitly. Since June 2026 the company publishes a simulation model in MJCF, USD and URDF formats. WIRobotics was founded in June 2021 by four former Samsung robotics engineers who first became known for the WIM wearable robots.
Pricing is on request and in practice tied to the humanoid. With 40 N at the fingertip it outmuscles TORCH HAND 1, which delivers 33 N but adds pressure pads.
