LOVOT 3.0 is GROOVE X's wheeled companion robot designed purely for affection rather than chores. Orders for this third version opened in Japan on 28 May 2024. It has 11 degrees of freedom including two in-wheel motors, OLED eyes, a horn with a hemispherical camera, a depth camera, four microphones and touch sensors across its body, and runs on an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX.
It is about 43 cm tall when held and weighs about 4.6 kg; the 52 Wh LFP battery gives 30-45 minutes of activity before it returns to its nest to charge. Strengths: very rich sensor set and lifelike behaviour. Limits: short active time, high price plus a monthly fee, sold mainly in Japan.
