OrcaHand Lite

OrcaHand Lite is the stripped-down variant of the OrcaHand. Its existence is documented in two places: the ROBOTIS shop, where buyers choose between the standard hand, the version with touch sensors and the Lite, and the project's hardware repository, whose orca_v2/lite folder holds STL and STEP files with a -Lite suffix but no README and no specification table.

Summary

OrcaHand Lite is the stripped-down variant of the OrcaHand. Its existence is documented in two places: the ROBOTIS shop, where buyers choose between the standard hand, the version with touch sensors and the Lite, and the project's hardware repository, whose orca_v2/lite folder holds STL and STEP files with a -Lite suffix but no README and no specification table.

What can be stated with confidence is therefore limited: five fingers, tendon drive from forearm motors, support for either Feetech or Dynamixel servos with a separate tower plate for each, and the same orca_core firmware as the full hand. Degrees of freedom, servo count, weight, load, grip force and sensing are not published for this variant, and orcahand.com itself consists of a single image.

The hardware files are released under CC BY 4.0 by ORCA Dexterity, the software under the MIT licence. ROBOTIS does not list a separate price for the Lite option, so pricing is on request. Anyone who needs full documentation should look at the standard 17-servo hand or the OrcaHand Touch with its tactile skin.
