Copperhead

Copperhead is the compact drum spinner of Caustic Creations, run by Robert and Kimberly Cowan of Erie, Colorado. The 250 lb (113.4 kg) robot has fought in BattleBots since 2019, a date inferred from the league profile’s ‘six years competing’ in the 2024/25 season. Drive is electric with radio control, and the drum is its only weapon; mass, material and rotation speed are not published.

Between 2019 and 2023 Copperhead posted 16 wins and 8 losses, with ten of its bouts settled by judges’ decision, marking it as a robot that wins through consistency rather than a single blow. In the 2023 World Championship VII it was eliminated by eventual finalist HUGE.

Fan sources credit it with winning BattleBots Champions 2021, but the official league site does not list the title, so it is not claimed here. Other team members are Luke Quintal, Chad New, Micah Spinelli and Brad Henkel. Build cost and price are unknown. The robot remains active, though its technical data are among the thinnest documented in this catalogue section.
