Proception Inc. in Mountain View is a start-up founded in 2024 by Jay Li, previously an engineer on Tesla's Optimus programme and at Apple, and Jack Xu, and backed by Y Combinator. In June 2026 the company announced an USD 11 million seed round and began shipping the tendon-driven ProHand 1.0 with 22 degrees of freedom, 18 of them actuated, a 96-unit tactile skin and a two-axis wrist.

It offers the ProGlove motion-capture glove as an accessory and keeps developer documentation behind a login; its site already mentions a second-generation hand. Prices are not published; the website is proception.ai.
