Magirus GmbH of Ulm is a German fire-apparatus maker whose roots go back to 1864 and Conrad Dietrich Magirus; since January 2025 it has belonged to the Munich group Mutares SE, having previously been part of Iveco Group.
In robotics Magirus acts mainly as the sales channel: the Wolf R1 tactical response robot is, according to Cleanthinking, developed and built by Alpha Robotics Germany in Vechta, while the turbine-aided AirCore TAF robots come from Italy's EmiControls. For fire services in Germany, Austria and Ukraine, Magirus thus provides distribution, delivery lists and service rather than in-house robot design.
