ARX Robotics GmbH from Oberding near Munich was founded in 2022 by three founders and has become the most visible European start-up in ground robotics within a few years. The company builds the GEREON family of modular tracked UGVs and the Mithra OS autonomy software, backed by venture investors including HV Capital and the NATO Innovation Fund.
GEREON RCS vehicles serve with the Bundeswehr, Germany donated 30 of them to Ukraine, and Poland is trialling the system in 2026. Since 2025 ARX has partnered strategically with Ukraine's ROBONEERS, maker of the Shablya weapon modules, linking German platforms with Ukrainian combat experience.
