Open Droids, a US company, sells the DH116 on pre-order: according to its product page in October 2026 the hand starts at USD 3,100 plus shipping with a refundable USD 100 deposit, and production has begun with limited initial availability. Six frameless brushless torque motors inside the hand drive eleven degrees of freedom, six active and five passive, across five fingers.

The hand weighs 490 g and measures 128 by 280 by 125 mm. The maker rates it for a 30 kg hook load and 10 kg per finger, with flexion and lateral swing at 360 degrees per second, ±0.2 mm positioning accuracy, twenty preset gestures and a life of 600,000 grasp cycles. Six tactile sensors are standard; a 508-point matrix sensor and multimodal sensors are optional.

Interfaces are EtherCAT, CAN FD and RS-485, with a 12 to 48 V supply. The specification closely matches the DH116 Series series from China's Leadshine, which lists 545 g, but neither company officially confirms a connection, and Open Droids' own location is not clearly stated. Intended uses are humanoids, prosthetics and research.
