Summary

Mark 7 from the Korean company Mand.ro in Bucheon is a prosthetic hand assembled from five self-contained finger modules. Each finger houses a 10 mm brushless micro-motor with an integrated gearbox, a Hall sensor and a control board measuring just 24 by 8 by 1.2 mm, so a damaged finger can be swapped on its own.

The base version has five degrees of freedom; the Mark 7A adds a two-axis thumb for six, the Mark 7B a two-axis index finger for seven, and the Mark 7X a wrist module. Control comes from surface EMG electrodes with pattern recognition, and there is no tactile sensing. The maker does not publish weight, load, grip force, speed or data interfaces.

The project is at pilot stage: clinical trials covered more than ten amputees, deliveries were announced for late 2023 or early 2024, and no shop exists. The only pricing statement is a target of USD 500 to 1,000 per finger module. For a bionic prosthesis that is already on sale, compare the Hero RGD.
