TetherIA

TetherIA is the American company behind the Aero Hand Open, an open-source tendon-driven five-finger hand with seven bus servos and an ESP32 controller. The design files are released under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 and the software under Apache-2.0, which allows non-commercial modification and rebuilding.

The complete kit costs 314 USD according to the project documentation on GitHub, October 2026, and is sold through the company's own online shop. Neither a headquarters city nor a founding year is published; a third-party source mentions a planned renaming to Chestnut Robotics, which the maker has not confirmed.
