taurob GmbH of Vienna was founded in 2010 to build reconnaissance robots for fire services and civil protection. Its tracked taurob tracker (2012) and the Tracker Ex with ATEX Zone 1 certification (from 2013) were tested by the Vienna professional fire brigade, shown by Austria's CBRN defence troops and used in the EU SmokeBot project with Dortmund's fire service.
Today the company concentrates on the Inspector robot for the oil and gas industry, and the tracker no longer appears on taurob.com; the former product page is offline, so the technical data come from Wikipedia and press reports rather than the maker.
